Hotel S. Carlo (2004)
A project for the restoration of a prestigious building in the heart of Turin, Piazza San Carlo.
The proposal consisted of reworking the generous interiors built originally for the Turin nobility, with vast circulation spaces, and very high ceilings into a modern all-suites hotel in which the grandeur of the original propotions found a corresponding interest and use in its new role.
The spaces were made more dynamic with the introduction of a vertical void and the huge central corridors used to house important art works owned by the clients.

Un progetto di ristruttuarzione per un prestigioso edificio nel cuore di Torino, Piazza San Carlo.
La proposta consiste nel rielaborare i generosi interni costruiti per la nobiltà torinese, con vasti spazi di circolazione e alti soffitti, in un moderno albergo all-suites nel quale la grandeur delle proporzioni originali trova un rinnovato utilizzo.
Il dinamismo degli spazi è esaltato dall'introduzione di un vuoto verticale ed un ampio corridoio centrale con funzione di galleria d'arte.
