Rooms for Tomorrow

We were invited to participate in an exhibition at the Rimini Hotel Fair for the next step in hotel room design. Here the idea of mass production as expressed in the process of extrusion becomes a device in the shaping of the elements that make up the room.

The technology is kept discreet if pervasive (underfloor plant, chroma jacuzzi, led lighting, minibar, safe and luggage rack all enclosed in the long side-bench, sound proofing in the as part of the inner skin lining etc.) while the materials and colours used are mostly natural.

The twist is that they all have specific characteristics for hotel use: inflammable, hardwaring, waterproof (on the bath surround) hygienic, low maintenance…
